The Ibero-American Meeting of Foreign Ministers accepted Türkiye’s application to become an Associate Observer.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed the public of its satisfaction with this development in a written statement.

Dışişleri Bakanlığı, bu gelişmeden duyduğu memnuniyeti yazılı bir açıklamayla kamuoyuna bildirdi.

The statement thanked Spain, the other member countries, and the Ibero-American Secretariat for contributing to the decision.

As the Ibero-American Conference’s current chair, Spain played a distinctive role in advancing the process.

The next step would be Türkiye’s participation in the 30th Ibero-American Conference Summit in Madrid.

The summit, hosted by Spain, was scheduled for 4–5 November, with Türkiye attending as an Associate Observer.

Ankara emphasised that this new status would deepen its existing cooperation with the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.
